Nightingale

Press Play To Listen To: Nightingale - By Saves The Day

Nightingale
By Saves The Day

And I will flail under these lights,
That seep down from the bitter sky tonight
And I will kick, and beat my wrists together
And feel an ocean breathing waves,
Feel them licking at my face
Ceilings don't exist, and there are no floors beneath me
If I were king of this night, would you become my queen?

And I hope, your majesty, that you like your position
I'll do everything I can, to keep you by my side
And I'll stare off through the darkness, to find us a kingdom
Just kiss me before I go

I'll have to walk a thousand miles
Just to find the ground deserving of your feet
You could throw me down, and walk on me
And I'd just look on through my love, and through the haze

And I hope, your majesty, that you like your position
I'll do everything I can, to keep you by my side
And I'll stare off through the darkness, to find us a kingdom
Just kiss me before I go

The nightingales are singing now
They're calling out our marriage
To our subjects on their knees
Their jewelery is thrown into the air
They sigh at their release
As their shackles hit the ground
The trumpets call out now
We're home at last

And I hope, your majesty, that you like your position
I'll do everything I can, to keep you by my side
And I'll stare off through the darkness, to find us a kingdom
Just kiss me before I go

With One's Heart In One's Mouth
By Moving Mountains

When all is lost
You've got nothing more
Nothing more to fear
Than me, and lovers blood

Draped across your tangled flesh, and bones
Your taste is all I know
Someday you'll find me
Where the darkness grows from light
And the waters flow like rivers, from your chest
And your heart, your heart
Is breaking mine to pieces

Wait
When all is lost
You've got nothing more to fear
Than Me
Than Me

Overboard

Overboard
By Ryan Johnston

Was it something that we engraved,
Or was it carved into us?
At bedtime, forever loved
Hanging onto the tail, of tales
If we could be a part of it
If we could feel the love..
And if things didn't work out,
Could we become what we let go?
Could we let it go?

Was it speechless?
Calling feeling to that control
Was it everything, that you'd hoped for?
Leaving estranged,
All you knew were strangers
Leaving what you recall
Ending, broken down
Never on board,
But you'll go over one
You'll go over

Mud Hill

Mud Hill
By Samiam

Car windows icing over
Speaking steam, with your breath
Through the floating strands of your hair
Am I just like the rest?

You say you don't want anyone, or anything
Say this hurts you too
I wouldn't bother, but this means everything to me
So spare me now

Rehearse the words you say
Repeat them again, as you see my driveway
While searching for something more
Beyond this lonely hill

I pretend to hear you
Act as if I understand
I try to convince you, I don't hate you
But it's hard to do

You say you don't want anyone, or anything
Say this hurts you too
I wouldn't bother, but this means everything to me
So spare me now

Rehearse the words you say
Repeat them again, as you see my driveway
While searching for something more
Beyond this lonely hill

Pals

Press Play To Listen To, Pals - By Pygmy Lush

Pals
By Pygmy Lush

Chewing on trash, fluorescent blues
Don't eat the food, don't even move
Just get on your feet

Didn't put up a fight, didn't even try
Just sat and waited, completely fleeced and baited
But no. No Sir

Pals, thru and thru, huddled in a violent room
Carving on the wall with broken fingernails
Laying on the floor, a toilet with no door

In the unknown, when I get lonesome
Some how you help me feel
Man, I feel

Pals, thru and thru

Ghosts Of Fallen Stars

Ghosts Of Fallen Stars
By Ryan Johnston

Shoreline, cloak and dagger sky, clear when you could see
Both of us moving now, drifting wreckage in the waves
And the current beneath us breathes, like an underwater wind
Pulling you away from me

On these Summer nights, with a kingdom fast asleep
The ghosts of fallen stars, haunt a restless galaxy
Like a cemetery view, from a window in your room
Endings are all I see

Old photographs, they dangle on a string
Frozen imagery, hooked to summertime dreams
A picture that you carved, never moving from your arm
Anchored to memories

Spring is a waiting room,
Waiting for a turn
Winters heavy eyes
Falling like her crown
She'll leave with an avalanche
Gaining weight and speed
A suicidal drive
Always instilled in me

And I'm, daydreaming again
Something, that I have never been

And there is no order here
Nothing left for me
The cadence to my heart
Seems to have lost it's beat
There are no time machines
No needles or thread
Only broken glass
That won't reflect or mend

And I'm, unable to stay afloat
A heavy chest, gold turned into stone

And I will ponder this
You’ll fall for someone else
I will mourn the loss
Of what to you, does not exist
I'm on the ocean floor
You're shining through the waves
You cemented my heart
Something, that is permanent

Guilt

Press Play To Listen To - Guilt By Pygmy Lush

Guilt
By Pygmy Lush

The guilt of the world is here
And more than my thinking, has me dying
It's got me dying
The pain in our arm, is aiming out
The breeze of the heart won't lie down
Won't lie down
Don't cry, my day
Don't cry, my day
Don't cry, my day
Don't cry, my day
